The Robyn Herrington Memorial Short Story Contest
Submissions are now closed for the 2019 contest - which makes this a great time to start working on your 2020 submission! If you entered a story you should hear back from us in the second week of June. Good luck!
Meanwhile, we're seeking articles for Writing Better Fiction (see the link at the top of the page), the craft book we're publishing as a fundraiser for the contest. The deadline has been extended to May 31 (which should in no way discourage you from getting your article in early). Click here to learn about the book.
About the Contest
You are invited to submit your original, unpublished written works of fiction to the 2019 Robyn Herrington Memorial Short Story Contest, "In Places Between". There is no entry fee, but entrants must be members of the When Words Collide Festival.
Contest Rules and Requirements
Stories are judged on a combination of factors, including professional presentation, originality, ingenuity, entertainment factor, character, plot, spelling, grammar, and other authorial skills.
How You Can Help
We're always looking for volunteers and donations. Become a pre-judge, or illustrate a story for a small fee. See the "Artists" and "Volunteer" pages for details, or the "Donate" page if you'd like to help fund the contest. Get in touch with us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org, or speak to Brent Nichols.
